San Francisco Conservatory of Music: Technology and Applied Composition

San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Technology and Applied Composition (TAC) is a new program designed around a unique curriculum that integrates rigorous instruction in composition with scoring and sound design for film, games, and new media. The TAC offers a foundation for a successful career in the diverse and evolving music industry and provides a course of study designed to provide students a direct path into the worlds of film scoring, video game sound design, and other rewarding professional musical avenues and readies students for a dynamic and cutting-edge compositional life bridging art and technology. The TAC provides both an undergraduate degree and a one-year Professional Studies Diploma. Faculty and students from the TAC will join us to provide a demonstration of their work and will discuss the design of the TAC curriculum and the outcomes of the program.
